Science Fair projects are fun!  What better way to learn than actually “getting your hands dirty.”

A good Science Fair project involves you taking a journey of discovery, driven by your own curiosity.  The best projects usually have a special meaning to its tester (you).  When contemplating your question, think about things that interest you.

I have provided several  links to help narrow down your search.  After coming up with a couple of ideas, please submit them to Mr. Wrinkle via the googledocs link at the very bottom of this post.

Finally, you must make sure your project is testable.  Simply put, you have to be able to do an experiment that produces data.  We’ve discussed this thoroughly in class, so I suspect you all have a clear understanding of what I mean.  Good luck and have fun.

We will be celebrating the holiday season on Wednesday, 12/23.  All plans are nearly finalized and a more formal letter will be sent home either Wednesday or Thursday.

The gist is this:  We will meet for lunch with Ms. Lohman’s and Mrs. Kraus’s classes at 12:05 in the All Purpose Room.  Mexican food, including tacos, is being provided.  We are still waiting on a final cost, though it should be cheap (approx. $2/student).

Following lunch, we will return to our classroom where a Mexican market will be set up.  Students will exchange small (and I mean small) gifts with each other.

What students will be providing:

  • 22 small gifts for exchange
    • these should be both cheap and tiny
    • homemade gifts are highly encouraged, e.g., bracelets, paper flowers, etc.
  • A basket to collect gifts, able to accommodate 22 small items
  • Anything else deemed pertinent, e.g., display for product, rug to set up on,  Mexican attire, sombrero, etc.
  • A small sum for taco feast (yet to be determined)

Thank you for your continued support.  I look forward to seeing all who can attend.  ¡Felices Fiestas!

We’ve started our study of Latin America.  Below you will find links to help learn the countries and capitals of Central America.  Remember to change game controls from “All of South and Central America” to just “Central America.”  Enjoy
